Why do people put AC Scnitzer Exhaust on their M5's?

Everyone says no real power gain, so why pay the 3K for a setup?

Just wondering, and yes I am a noob.

I dunno, why do people put carbon fiber parts on a 4K pound car? at some point you would think the obvious would dawn as you were typing...or trying to get that post count up....go figure.

The reason why you get an aftermarket exhaust system is for embellishing the exhaust note of your car. Most members desire a more dominant and stout sound over stock. Consistent w/ motorsports enthusiast.
You do not get an exhaust to expect hp gains. For that you must go more invasive and install headers.

Cheers, M5Ranger

So for the sound, ok well nice bonus on my car I guess.

I put a tubi on my Ferrari and I noticed a nice little HP gain, just not sure I would have spent the money just for the sound.

O well to each his own I guess.

AC Schnitzer Exhaust

I just installed the AC Schnitzer exhaust on my E60 m5 and i noticed
a difference when i drove the car off. I do love the exhaust sound as well.
The sport exhaust looks very different than all the dual exhaust systems
that look stock. It almost looks like the bumpers were carved out to fit
the exhaust.

Spent 3k on Dinan exhaust. As far as I'm concerned, money well
spent. The exhaust note is part of the driving experience.
