I had Conti SportContact 5P tyres on my 335d when I tracked it round the Nurburgring. Phenomenal grip. Had to work hard to make it lose traction at Adenauer Forst. During normal road use the wear was mid-range. But it tore through them at the nurburgring in only a couple of laps.
That being said, I wouldn't buy them for my M5 unless they were a lot cheaper. For the price your paying for them I'm almost certain there are better tyres out there.

I've never had Michelin, so probably heading that way before too long seeing all the praise they get. Shops near me only sell PSS's though.

///M5 E60 Review in 2 sentences:
£1000 a month service costs, before you factor in the 9 mpg average. Then it's just the joyful enthusiasm it has for trying to kill you in any situation, or itself every other day.

I bought the Conti Extreme DW and have no complaints so far. Same performance that they had on my e36 M3. I believe they have been discontinued now and Conti hasn't announced what the replacement will be yet. Thinking about picking up another set to store before they are all gone.
