Pirelli PZero Corsa System for M5?

Anyone try the new Pirelli PZero Corsa System tires on the E60 M5? Tire Rack has them listed as track tires, but the Pirelli site implies that they can be used as everyday tires. Can they be used safely on the M5 for everyday use? Any opinions?

I've been wanting to buy them all season. They are out of stock on one of the tires - I believe left rear - they are assymetric and have a unique left and right. I don't believe they will have stock untill the spring.

I'm waiting till the spring and will buy either these or the hoosier setup - 265 front with 295 rear - whatever is available first.

As these are R comps I would only use them on the track. They'd wear fast on the street and be less than ideal for rain. Much like the pilot sport cups. Not horrible in rain, but I like my M5 to stick in the rain the way it does in the dry. I've had the stock tires at 150mph in the rain on a track and their awesome. Don't try that with an R Comp IMHO.

Cheers

unless your on hoosier rains...muahahaha

fwiw (and i dont know if they make them in the right size), but the potenza reo1r puts the ps2 to shame and is only shades away from the psc...but still grips in the wet quite well...

I dont see many options for our stock rims actually...which really sucks cause the PS2s which are on my car are over 400 a rear tire!!!!

I wouldn't say the RE-01R is better than PS2's. Ofcourse, tire choice is largely opinion. RE-01s are extremely popular in Japan, but they aren't so much of a hit here. Nevertheless, P-Zero Corsas will surely outperform RE-01s, which BTW only come in 245 and 275 width for 19's. Too narrow for our cars.

According to Tire Rack's back to back comparison tests using a BMW 325i:

The PS2 is very similar in performance to the RE050A Pole Position. The RE050A was very slightly slower in the dry than the PS2, but much faster in the wet.

http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tests/...lay.jsp?ttid=1

The RE-01R seems to be a better performing model, outperforming even the Yokohama Advan Neova AD07, which outperforms the PS2:

http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tests/...ay.jsp?ttid=71

Advan AD07 vs PS2:

Though the reviews probably don't transfer directly over to our vehicles, it's probably reasonably close since they're using BMW sedans (same suspension geometry, weight distribution, etc).
