help with AA exhaust

Hey guys, new member here.
Just got an 08 M5. I'm really thinking about a new exhaust, my previous M3 I had installed one, and sounded sweet, but now with the V10 I'm worried its too loud for daily driving. For good times (racing) the AA sounds sweet

. I am looking for something a bit lounder than E. Sport but not as loud as E. Race. Help please

I know few of you guys just got it install, please share your thoughts...thanks

i just got the AA installed on my car last week. it does sound amazing!!!! sounds like a 430 in race mode!!!! BUT it is quite loud in the car....this is my only issue right now.....it does quiet down a touch once warmed up, but not that much....

i am going to try and do some soundproofing work under the carpets in the car and under the trunk liner and see if this makes a difference. will keep you posted.

i have e sport and its pretty tame !!

member polar993 got e race and added some bullet resonators to quiet it down a bit , cheap and effective option..

other members have also said the aa is too loud !!

Like volks99 said, it is quite loud in the car but it sounds awsome otherwise. I lasted about a month before I decided it was too loud in the car...If only I could turn it off at times. I just sold mine to another board member.

We have a video comparing Stock, Dinan, Arqray. The Arqray may sound a little raspy because of section1&2.

Great thanks for the info. I agree from what i've heard it sounds amazing, however daily driving might cause some headache. I had it on my M3 and it was not loud at all, I guess the V10 cant be tamed

I agree that it is a bit loud upon initial startup but I think that it settles into a nice tone once it warms up.

I've only driven around town since I installed it but plan on a 500mi trip this week. I don't think it will be "wearing" on a long drive. I'll report back if that's the case.

i'd love to get your feedback on a long drive!!! that is one of the first things i thought when i first got in......ohh man this is not gonna be fun if i gotta go anywhere past the corner store

I'd like to hear how it is on the freeway and a long trip as well. I had the AA on my M3 and it was a bit wearing on a long drive. I switched it to the Dinan and loved it. Those AA tips do look good.

I just had mine installed (Thanks, Flashgordon!) and I love it. Maybe it's just me, but when you get a full exhaust, you expect it to be loud. On the highway, you can definitely tell it isn't stock but it isn't droning. I had a 997 with Porsche's sport exhaust, chip, and evo's air intake. The AA exhaust set up is louder, which you would expect from a V-10 and a full exhaust set up (as opposed to mufflers only). The true test will be when my wife rides in the car tomorrow. If it is too loud for her, maybe it is too loud for the finicky types
