Hi Everyone,
Spent the day down in Miami between Active Autowerkes and ASR Engineering!! Since I got the DSC off software uploaded, I had to have Active reflash my ECU with the ASR tune... Got down to ASR around 11 where Abid gave me a new FULL bottle to take to the dyno (thank you) and off I went to Active. All the guys at AA were cool as usual so it was a pleasure to hang out for 2 hours during the software upload and dynoing. Got to take a look at Tony Kannan's E46 M3 with AA's new upcoming TURBO kit on it That thing put down some SERIOUS numbers (which I won't go into incase they didn't release them yet), but damn, great car
Anyway, here are a couple pics of the car on the dyno and also a couple videos (You guys can hear how much faster it revs in the second one )!!
Now for the good stuff, the dyno's... The dyno's were done on Active Autowerke's "Heart Breaker" Mustang Loaded Dyno. This is pretty much the lowest reading dyno out there, but its one of the best for tuning which is why they have it and why we ran the car on it. We have already seen the high numbers from ASR on dynojets, but I was more interested in AFR's and such to make sure the car is running healthy!! So anyway, AA said their dyno in this power range is about 10% lower than a Dynojet which would mean on a dynojet my car is making around 565RWHP and 469RWTQ or around 650HP and 540TQ at the crank Not too shabby for a 4 door sled . Here was the highest run: Here was the highest run all motor: Here are 2 other runs side by side just for shits and giggles:
Needless to say I am happy, and I would like to thank Active and ASR for treating me great and getting the power up there for me
Regards,
Evan
PS- Anyone need a stock 335 Exhaust, I think AA has a couple
Evan you're actually making more than you think. Those numbers equate to 700hp and 585 torque to the flywheel! If you ever plan on doing headers they will put you at around 590rwhp with our Stage III!

Does that mean you believe there's a 20% DT loss on our engine?

Much much more. It showed 514hp and 427 lb/ft of torque to the wheels on that Mustang Dyno (good dyno, BTW). ASR says that equates to 700hp. That's a 27% loss:
700 - 514 = 186
186 / 700 = 0.2657
For torque, 27%:
585 - 427 = 158
158 / 585 = 0.2701
While that's far more drivetrain loss than any M5/M6 we've ever seen, different shops use different correction factors for their power quotes.
