My electronic dipstick is whacked. I would start out with around .8L and drive about 30 miles and it'll say I'm low on oil and displays .2L. So I pour in .5L and drive a bit and recheck and it'll say 1.3L. Then after about 2 days, it'll say .8L.

Or sometimes, it'll say .2L and I'll pour in some oil and it stays at .2L for a week and will jump up.

I want the old fashion dip stick back. Bringing my car in for service next week to get this checked.

I find it best to put in 1 quart when the reading is at 0.0L.

So far so good.

Always reads 1.0L after adding 1 quart.

Remember, the display reads the amount of oil above the miniumum level.

Yep. I agree it reads the amount above the minimum. Mine has never gone down below .2L but i'll give me a warning that I have low oil. Whatever I add has never mathematically equate to what the reading comes up with after. That's why I'm having it checked out.

On another note, someone told me there is actually a dipstick in the engine bay but it's not clearly marked...tucked in there somewhere. Can anyone confirm?
