BT is a hard wired radio that is either on when the car is on or off when the car is off. You can "unpair" a given device from the car from the regular idrive menu and then re-pair it or you can reboot the entire CCC system by holding down the two DVD/CD eject buttons and push the volume control on/off knob at the same time. The latter will reboot nav, radio, phone, etc. Hope this helps.

Can you be a bit more specific with the current issue you're facing?
I had a BT problem once with my iPhone.
Long story short, the car's computer won't shut off, even after I locked the car, so it keeps on draining battery. I reset the system five times, no luck.
Finally, I decided to push the SOS button and the nice operator told me that the car was trying to communicate with BMW while I was on the phone and for some reason made BT to froze.
In the end she fix it by terminating that communication and the car is perfect now.

Until FloridaBMW commented, I was going to say "Don't bother trying to make a Palm 750 work. It won't!"

I have a TREO 700 with Sprint service and I've only had to Pair the phone twice. Works great for the three weeks I've owned the car.

Blue tooth respect question

The dealer upgraded my software on my idrive in my 06M5 because of a cd player problem. With the new software my Verison RZAR v3c would no longer load my entire phone book and any new number that I added would not load. In going to the BMWusa.com/bluetooth web site the RAZR v3c was not listed as a compatible phone, so I went out and purchased a RAZR V9m. Same problem. The dealer said to bring it back in, but he had no guaranties that they would have a solution because of all the software changes that have been occurring both on the phone side and on the car side. He had already tried unpairing and repairing the phone to no avail. It is a real pain in the *** to get my car to the dealer so I asked if this reset listed on the M5board might be worth a try. He said that he had no idea what that did and could not say that it might not screw something else up. Has anybody else tried that procedure to cure a phone book loading problem. I spent $400 on a new phone based on BMW's website and all I get is well maybe that is too bad, but we will try our best if you drop the car off again.
