Video: Interviewing Steve Dinan and the upcoming plans for the M5: S1, S2 and S3

Member M Crisis, organizer of the full m5board.com USA Tour in 2007, Member Barry ( a long time 8+ year member) and me visited Steve Dinan in his Morgan Hill HQ i nAugust, at the very end of my five week trip to the USA. Steve was as always very open, enthusiastic and friendly and shared with us some breaking news about the upcomign S2 and S3 engine conversions for the BMW M5 and M6, as well as the news that they will compete with the BMW M6 in the GT class for the next years Rolex. We got a detailed look at the 5,7 or 5,8 liter engine conversion that will produce on excess of 600 normally aspirated HP for the BMW M5 and the M6.

Steve is presenting the upcoming S2 and S3 kit for the BMW M5. This is his personal BMW M5 and it as he says "favourite BMW. I am an M5 guy".

The Dinan S3 engine.

Steve Dinan's personal MV Agusta F4-R 312 superbike, that has a top speed of 312 km/h which Steve enjoys driving on the backroads of California.

Steve checking out the gtboard.com airfield DVD. Support m5board.com and similar events by ordering one from Amazon.com here.

$2 = I will have to borrow from Steve Dinan

Is that Steve's new bike?? When I was there he had a red Ducatti 999 that he was really upset with because it topped out at 160mph and he told the guy that sold him the bike that his wife drives faster than that!!

Hahahhaha! I knew that would be his new bike. It has to match his M5 white/white his Ducatti was red just like the original S3 M5.

That blast down monterey road is always fun

Great video and very good questions Gustav

This time he was pissed since the MV Agusta did not do 312 km/h apparantly (true!)

The only person that I have met that thinks that 190mph on two wheels is slow. The funny thing is that he will go out and run that thing all day 150-190 out in central california (cow country) and come back to work on Monady and be upset that his sedan goes faster that his top of the line motorcycle
