I would like to say a big thanks to Scoopz and PL2 for some great advice and info on the Iphone situation.
I will get on to my dealer tomorrow and see if I can order a new bluetooth module and all the necessary adaptors.
If this doens't work, then I will go back to my Nokia 8800 scirocco.

I still need to start a family and would rather keep my testes from being radiated..

If the I-phone was on Verzion I would keep the thing in my glove box, but, AT&T is lousey out here, thus, I need the external antenna and the possibility of adding a "compensator" amplifer....

Has anyone tried merging the wiring of the USB connector with the cradle's wiring to enable the control of the iPod function in the iPhone? Are there any plans by BMW to include the USB functionality with the cradle?

I just finished installing this in my M5 this morning, took 30 minutes.

Needed all three parts ( thanks to those posters who provided the PN's) My dealer had all three parts in stock and I got it at Dealer cost.

I love it and worth every penny. If anyone wants a picture just let me know.

Again, thanks to the OP.

hahaha.. so i assume you don't keep your cell in your pockets either

btw.. note for 2008 m5'

-Bluetooth with iPhone works flawlessly. Exit/Enter vehicle no issues. Phonebook automatically syncs up with car no issues.

-You can also charge your iPhone with the iPod cable.. and you can use your iPhone as a iPod while it's connected by wire/charging... no issues.

I'd like to see some pics if that's possible?
I'm still being told it's not available to order here in the UK but no doubt I'll be getting it in the coming weeks.

The way I see this the main advantages of this are a) charging and b) connection to external antenna which I would really appreciate, can anyone confirm this is definitely that case?
My dealer's service department are their usual clueless selves lol
