Encounter with a new Alpina B7 this morning
I was on the FL turnpike this morning go to pick up my 3 sons therefore I needed a back seat. I was driving my Audi RS4 ( no slouch but not a beast ) when I see coming up behind me a black Bimmer. Comes next to me, a little look of acknowledgement and we're off. I pulled a good gear and rpm's were right. I mugged him on the jump and got a car length, well that lasted for about two blinks of the eyes. He pulled and walked me like I was nothing. I was pedaling all she had. I start to get a great view of his new car paper tag. The encounter went about to 145 - 150 mph before letting off. He had 3 to 4 car lengths on me. Awesome beautiful car. Looked like a black stealth rocket. I was unhappy to have been in the RS4 but very glad not to have been in the M5. I would have suffered a major embarrassment. The magnificent brutality and aggression of my M5 has been lost after the TB's. Nobody (many expert hands) can figure it out . The car no longer surges but the savage delivery of power is absent. I would like to have the encounter back and be in the GT3. Very different results. BTW this has me thinking to punt the M5 slug and go for the Alpina. It is gorgeous. What's the MSRP on those cars? Well all take care and good luck.

Braman WPB had one last week. Black over brown.... MSRP 122K. They are beautiful and all the reviews I have been reading drool over the car - they all seem to agree that the B7 is the best sedan EVER!!!!

Hey eag8999, I guess you 're not aware of my problems after installing the Dinan throttle bodies. My M5 has been a real problem since and the poor car just has never been itself again. There is no apparent reasonable solution short of undoing all that I've done so far. Sounds like its time to get rid of the M5. That Alpina B7 looked mighty nice.

Sounds like you took a beautiful car that was synergistically engineered by probably the most knowledgeable automobile designers in the world and ruined it by trying to make it a race car and as a result turned it into a ‘slug’ by messing with its original design… The Bentley Arnage weighs nearly 6,000 pounds and has 500hp with 738 ft pounds of torque – in case you want to have the biggest, fattest, most powerful family sedan…..

Hey kwbb how are you doing? Have you been following this board? You say this to me in a derogatory manner and what about all the members who have done multiple mods on their cars and have strong awesome cars. I haven't seen you tell them that they have fu*k up their cars or trashed a perfectly design car. This is a good example of kicking someone when they are down. But hey that's ok no problem man. Just tell the other members who have modified their cars that they are wrong and are messing up their cars. Don't just say it to me.
