I was looking at various brake kits, and was wondering why more people don't use the AP Racing Kit? Most people seem to go with Brembo or Stoptech's. Does anyone have experience with the AP Racing kit?

Seen a few on the E39 M5 and they are excellent. Speak to Zeckhausen Racing (board sponsor) who will sort out all your brake requirements.

Make sure you get the road version, the race versions don't have dust seals on the calipers.

I spoke to Dave on this subject a while ago. He said AP racing kit that are made in the UK are very good, but the ones that are made in the US are useless.

Interesting, did he mentioned what was the hardware differences ?

I've also heard they are 2x the cost.....not sure if it'd be worth the extra $$ to gain that little edge on a street car.

I saw the Porsche LMP cars use AP brakes. Not sure if they are UK or US made. Enough of an endorsement for me... If I was in the market for brakes.

They are made in both countries.

I'd like to know the differences between the Euro and US versions. It seems wierd that they would have different quality like that. Are you saying that the US versions are inferior to say a Brembo or Stoptech kit?
