Installing one new tire?

Just had a flat and the tire shop only put on one new rear tire. My right rear tire has a little over 3mm tread left (eyeball measurement) and my left is new at 4mm. Is that ok?

No, you'll have to take that 75% michelin PS2 and give it to me just to be safe. I'll take all the risk.

It's fine. Just a PITA to track wear now. Be particularly careful when it starts raining again- the worn one should be pretty low by then (depending on your usage).

I also have a new tire on the front passenger side. I have Kuhmos and the one got corded. So, while decidiing what tires to get next, I just replaced the one (with a different model Kuhmo). That was maybe a month ago. The only thing I noticed was maybe a bit more tire noise coming from that area of my car?

Also, if you replace the worn tire, what's to keep you from having another flat? If you decide to replace, I would keep the old tire, just in case.

Excellent advice. And if you replace a set of tires, keep the best take off as a spare, just in case.

Jerry
