Price Check: 2002 M5 with 63k miles

I've been searching for a 02 M5 for some time, this board has proved to be a great resource in what to look for when making the plunge.

So seriously considering a 02 M5 Lemans Blue / Carmel, 63k miles, BMW service history checks out, M-Audio, no shades, no PDC, new tires, clutch doesn't slip, runs strong. Bone stock. Leather is great inside, very little wear. Exterior some rock chips/road rash.

I have not had a PPI performed, although the car is going being taken to a BMW dealer for an oil change and general checkup by the current owner/dealer.

Asking price is $29.8k which seems to be fairly agressive for the 02's with less than 70k miles?

Carfax is clean, shows three owners:
1. the original leasee.
2. dealer that bought it auction @ 60k miles
3. dealer that bought it auction @ 63k miles

Thanks.

Get the car checked out. If it's good I think that is a VERY reasonable price. I Just paid 37K for an 02 with 49,500 miles......

Just paid low 30s for 2002 black/black 34k mile car clean except a scratch on the hood. It was from a friend so not a good gauge.

Guys, great info, fluid and Michael_S looks like there is a premium (benefits also) with most CPO cars and sub 50k mile cars out there.

I should note my car was from a private sale, not a dealer, but is CPO'd through next year.

Id say that is a very reasonable price if not a decent deal, got my 2000 w/ 64,000 on it for 30k. Now mine was lowered and supersprint exaust cat back, and upgraded headlights. 2002 has the new headlights taillights and nav/screen and bmw seemed to plish up the overall car in the last 2 years. for my say.

Sounds like a very cheap price.

I'm looking to get around $40k for my '02 Le Mans Blue with 57k miles (brand new Kumho MX, brand new foglights, brand new floormats, PDC, power sunshade, all-black leather, sport seats, alum trim., M-enhanced audio, fold down rear seats, etc).
