Euro Arm Rest?? Phone Removal??

Anyone put one of the Euro arm rests on an M5, with caramel interior? If so, could you take a picture, and also let me know where you purchased it?

I have the phone arm rest, and, of course, it only slides. I want the extra storage that installing that opening arm rest and tray will give me.

I also want to take out all the phone stuff, since I don't have a phone that works with the installed cord, and I'm told that the bluetooth install is not only pricey, but doesn't work all that well.

One more, speaking of the phone: can the antenna be removed, without much trouble, or is it drilled through the rear window?

Thanks. I've had the car about a month, and am slowly sorting through all the little things that I want to change.

But, G*d, do I love this car!

ipod replacing the phone

I needed to get the phone out of there as well. It looks very dated in my opinion. Using a DICE module I decided to substitute in my ipod. The width of the phone tray is perfect for all modern ipods (4th and 5th gen? - not sure this is right). Works well for me, handy to remove (keeping the phone spring release) and I can operate the ipod from either the steering wheel or the module itself while driving.

Here is a link: First Mods with pics as discussed

Just thought I would show another option.

!
not sure who told you this, BT works fantastically, at least in my case. Depends on who's kit you get, and what phone you use. I have the kit from bimmernav.com, and to me, a few hundred bucks is not too pricey (You'll spend similar on the euro armrest).

Yes, you can remove the phone, the tcu is mounted in the trunk over at the top of the audio stack, and the phone antenna is just adhesive, use a razor blade and pop it off. Save it, or try to sell it here, as they're no longer available i hear, and i've seen at least 3 or 4 people who wanted one to use with their BT kit.
The interior part of the antenna is the same, stick on, the cable unscrews and can be tucked back up under the headliner

I had a euro armrest, bought from my dealer, ended up selling it later to another board member because i wanted the bt snap in adapter. Now thinking of going back to euro armrest, assuming the iphone will work with the bt system.
