Nav display won't return to radio screen

I have an issue where my widescreen display won't return to the radio display after going to the menu, nav or phone screens. If I press the FM button it will go to the radio screen and after a few seconds it goes back to the previous screen (menu, nav or phone). Same thing if I press the mode button. The only way I can get it to go back and stay on the radio (or CDC) screen is to turn off the stereo and then turn it back on. Is this normal or is there possibly a firmware issue on my MK IV?

Thanks,

Mike

I don't think it's normal. What version OS are you using? I'm on v.29 and mine doesn't do that.
I've heard (but not yet tried myself) that downgrading to v26 or thereabouts, then upgrading again can sort out a bunch of small issues.

I think there is a display button to push on the lower left side of the display (the one above the volume knob), push the right hand side of that button to get the radio display to stay on. (GDay Mick)

Push the other side of the Mode button - it is the permanent toggle between computer and radio. All the other functions (CD, FM, etc) will simply show you the stereo functions temporarily.

I had the same problem and this is what fixed it. Just a minor operator error (hopefully)

Thanks for all the replies. The right side of the button above the volume knob seems to do the trick. I originally thought that was just to select the tape mode, but apparently I was mistaken.

I'm glad to hear it wasn't a more serious problem
