again problems with my m5

Hi Guys,

Seems one problem follows the other: After i fixed the problem with the fuelpump i now have an other problem: i looks like my seats are not mounted well.in corners it moves about 1 cm sideways. very annoying!
i checked every bolt and tightened when possible. but still the problem isn,t gone. now it looks like if the back of the frontseats are the problem. they seem to move more than the seatpart itsself.

and today i have one more problem. teh electr.window on the drivers-side wont open. i can hear it running but it wont open. i tried with my hands, and suddenly the window fell down like 20-30 cm! .looks like it is out of the rails? after i pushed the close button it closed again but wont open again and im not gonna try with my hands again. of course i dont need to tell you guys what kind of weather it is in the netherlands right now

i have had quite alot bmw's but never occured so many problems within 2 months of buying the car. i hope its just bad luck and it wont let me down again. it relly gives me a bad taste in my mouth.

The window problem fits my situation to a "T."

My 318ti had the very same thing happen ... First, the window didn't go up or down. Then I tried holding it, and it fell about a foot.

End of the story ... big time cost ... close to $ 1,000. Had to replace the window mechanism ... It had twisted and broken ... how it twisted, I will never know ...

I have driven BMWs for over 550,000 miles and never a window problem before.

I feel your pain ...

well, little bit luck. they had the parts needed in stock so the window problem is solved. unfortunately at one point the window came down again and it was raining like hell. even the front speakers were wet so i had them replaced also.

im glad its fixed now but still have the problem with the loose seat. it looks like the problem is in the electric adjustment wheels..hope that there are parts available for this. really annoying when the seat moves about 1cm in a turn.especially with higher speeds.

i hope there wont be any more problems anymore.this way icant get any pleasure in driving.
