E46 brembo breaks

I have a friends sellling his E46 and he is parting the car out. I was hoping if the front and rear brembo breaks fit, i can buy them off of him. You guys know if they will work on my E39?

They will not work. You will need new caliper brackets, rotor hats, float hardware, and brake lines. By the time you've bought all those separate pieces and the used E46 BBK, the cost will exceed a brand new BBK.

Might need a different bracket for the calipers, and the rotors might or might not have the right offset to them.. Which, depending on the kit (1pc or 2pc rotors?), might be a matter of new hats (I think thats the term). I know thats a pretty crappy answer...

I would give sponsor Zeckhausen a call, heard that they are very knowledgeable and very helpful.
Hope they are doable for you!
Matt
