Resonators!

This may read like a stupid question, but has anyone added the resonators (supersprint) to their stock exhaust? I ran into TFung last night and his car has the G-power exhaust. The G-powers sound fantastic on their own, but TFung had the resonators added and- WOW!- what a sound!

His car sounds incredible! Everyone I know, that has the resonators, has improved sound with little if any increase cabin sound. So, while I wait to get an exhaust system would it be stupid to add the resonators to the stock system? Any thoughts?

ALX

PS. Now, if M5er would get the resonators I think the sound of his Kelleners exhaust would disable any car behind him...never mind what would happen to an M5 with B&B triflows and resonators !!!

ALX,

I am purchasing the SS resonators and adding them to my OEM exhaust. I will let you know what they sound like when I get them installed.

ALX,

Convince Jim to get them on his kelleners!! I just had dinner with Tfung and him.. he is having second thoughts. Help me 'convince' him to get it. If he doesn't, there will be one available Resonator for immediate installation!! Get it while it's hot!!

Oh yeah Happy Birthday ALX!!!

'Rocket, TFung,

If M5er got the resonators....it may bring him up to B&B sound levels which, without the interior resonance, could be THE combo!

Regardless, the G-powers w/ resonators sounded SO good, a trip to Germany maybe in my near future!

M5er,

Just do it! You can always remove them if it really IS too loud.

MAH,

I can't wait to hear back from you....the resonators maybe a perfect interium solution until I goto Germany!

ALX

PS. Jim, DO IT!

I wonder if someone has got the g-power sport catalysators?
Do they change the sound very much or what? I see they cost 3615 DM / 1848 EUR so this is a HELL expensive mod , any thoughts of how could cats+resonators+loud exhaust ( kelleners , g-power, b&b Triflo)
sound? I love loud exhaust but this could make us similar to them rice cookers who put them loudest thing they can get on their cars... also i don't think there is a reason for spending more than 1500$ for catalysators but who knows , anyway backfiring with sound "system" like that would burn a hole in the air...

Para22,

I think that combo would be very interesting. My theory is that the car would shoot flames. On top of that, I think the car's sound would be loud and extremely rough. Probably similar to alot of those american muscle cars

I think it's time to post sound files.
