Man, at that price I will call my dealer and put myself down for two of them!
Pretty cool stuff.

Since they will be hand built by the M division, would this slow down M5 production or the timing of the next M5?

I don't think u have to worry about M5 production slowing down cos' the M5 is built alongside the 'normal' 5s not at the M factory.

Actually, the M5 engine is built by the M guys - it is the bottleneck. They build only 40 a week, and these are shared between the M5 and the Z8. But I sitll don't think this will have much impact on the M5 - total production of this car is only going to be a few hundred, enough to satisfy the race rules which say the GT cars have to be based on a production car.

Yup, the M5 engine is (hand)built by the M Division. But I think they're limiting the production to control the number of M5s and Z8s produced every year. I think they have the capacity to produce more. The M3's engine is also built by the M Technic....

Too much for a M3 I will get myself a 996 TT ! or a Lambo
