Angry Status of my week 39 built Beast..

Hello all,

I have a week 39 Beast that is currently "scheduled or in production". I am just a little confused because beewang and germansedanfan are also week 39 guys but their cars have been built as of last Friday and are awaiting transport. Could it be that my dealer made a mistake with the week number? I tried logging into the owners circle since this morning but the "server is to busy". Any thoughts guys?

Thanks in advance,

Harry

Harry,

If there's one thing I've learned...it's that you can't really trust the Owner's circle when it comes to getting updates on your car. You're better off contacting your dealership for the "true" updates. Typically the owner's circle can be a couple of days behind the actual status of the car. Call your salesguy religiously! That's what I did!!

My car has been in "on order" status in the Owners Circle for many weeks. My order number told me from other posts that my car should have a build week. I e-mailed BMW through the Owners Circle and they confirmed my car has a build week of week 42. The respose said that my car would be finished no later than October 19th. I also e-mailed BMW concerning the bumper inserts and side mouldings as to whether they would be painted the same as the body or black for 2002. The person responding was clueless. My experience with the Owners Circle e-mail is that they are always very responsive with a useless answer to probing questions and will not take the initiative to research your questions properly. They are PR people only and not car enthusiasts! What a waste!!!

I hope so!

I really do hope I get is sooner. My dealer asked me about 2 weeks ago if it would be a problem if the car came a little SOONER. I told him that I needed the car yesterday. I sent an email to bmwusa hoping to find out a little more information since my dealer is out today. So this whole order tracking thing that BMW has put together is just a marketing scheme?

Watch, my dealer will call me tomorrow and tell me that the car has arrived. JK. Well, I hope this is the case and that things have been moving along. Beewang, told me that every dealership got 2 more allocations for M5's. He also mentioned that he will try to nock down the price a bit. Any of you think it's possible?

Harry

Harry,

You lucky man! It's probably around the corner and you're going to be driving it one of these days. I know your journey has been a long one, just hold on a little more. Patience is a virtue (or at least that's how the saying goes).

Ta leme!

RM5,

Sorry to hear about your situation, I hope everything works out so you can still get the car. Do you think our dealers might be able to knock down our price a bit? Considering the fact that business is bad?

hey angel

call 800 831-1117 option 3. they are very helpful and knowledgeable in my experience. btw, the owner's circle
sucks! i bet your car has been built, they have been running ahead of schedule. btw, every time i call bmwna, they always
say "m5? great car" when they are looking up the status.
please let us know what you find out...

Keith!,

Yes, I have been looking for a Beast for almost 8 months now. Are you going with Circle BMW? MSRP with a production # I hope. I take it the next time you come home from school will be to pick up your car! We will meet up soon.

Ta leme! (se leego apo konda)

Harry
