Call from dealer this morning [extended maintanence cancelled]
So I bought an '02 CPO M5 on 1-28-07 and I purchased the extended maintenance as it was offered to me. I receive a call this morning (dealer) saying it should have never been offered to me and they will refund me the difference. So I call BMWNA and they say "We are a third party to this and we can't help you, Our hands are tied"
I told him this was a major factor in purchasing this car and he didn't seem to care. He is going to call the dealer and see if they will at least give me a free brake service for the inconvenience.
Is there anything else I can do? Ask for?
Thanks all

I dont know if there is any legal recourse, but a refund and free brake pads and rotors ($1500+ easy) doesnt sound like a bad deal to me. Then go find yourself a reputable indie mechanic and forget the dealer even exists.

I have an Indie mechanic for when the CPO coverage goes out I just like the idea of the warranty paying for itself once the brakes are done. I have 849 more gallons of gas to go through then it would be time for inspection II.

Thanks for the imput!
You can save yourself a lot of $ by doing the easy parts of the inspection II yourself. My last one was no more than $650 after tax.
Sort of a dumb answer here - but you could tell the dealer you'll give them the car back and they can refund the complete purchase price+tax+fees+etc. Then you can buy it back from them at a new lower price (because it's an older vehicle with more mileage and an additional owner).

I like this idea. Tell the dealer to F Themselves. IMO Legally I do not believe they can refund the money and get out of it. This of this as the opposite of a cooling down period. You cannot buy a car and then 2 months later just say, I DON'T WANT IT and I MADE A MISTAKE.
If are you willing to fight this, do not take the money/ check and do not sign anything. I would also take a look at the original paper work.
What is the production date of the car? This will determine when the CPO will end.
Edit:
I believe your purchase agreement will be the legal document that keeps this car CPO'd

Thats not what it costs. Obviously, if I was them, I'd be happy to get away that easily.
Just because they **** you in an expensive way doesn't mean that they can **** you again with the same stick when the tides have turned your way IMO.

If they offered, and signed for it, go all the way on them. FFS, you're an american!!
