Ordering Solaris Invisi-bulbs?

I have a 06/2002 beast and looking to do the solaris invisibulbs mods.
I am uncertain about the front replacement bulb, according to the bimmian
website looks to be the horizontal one (middle option) in the attached pic.

The rears are the offset ones.

Anyone do the reverse lights?
Is it necessary/easiest to removed the headlight assembly to change the front indicator bulb?

There is also the clear option for the sides instead of the chrome ones, which apparently are twice as bright as the chromes but not as invisible.

Any feedback appreciated.

Scott

LFC09,

I recently done mine. I have a 10/2000 model so it may be different than yours. The fronts are flat and the rear are aligned. I was debating about the more bright ones but ended up going with the original version since it would look the most invisible.

If your hands are small I think you can pull the housing off the front headlight assembly. I ended up pulling out the headlight assembly out far enough to get my hands in. What was a bummer was that I dropped the T20 screw down into the belly pan. I ended up taking that cover in front of the front wheel off and fished the screw out from the belly pan with a little magnetic probe.

The change is very subtle and so if you hadn't done it you probably wouldn't notice the difference.

I have had the rears out and mine are offset, gave up on getting the fronts out just yet and was hoping someone with a later model had already done it.

My 2003 E39 front turn signal bulbs are not like my 2000 E39 front turn signal bulbs.

On the 2000 E39 it's the same offset style round end connector like the ones you use on the rear tail lights.

On the 2003 E39 it's the flat style end connector like you see in the middle picture you posted for the front turn signal indicators.

By the way, I need to order the same thing you are looking to buy.....the invisibulbs with the flat ended connector.

thanks for the headsup, the order form suggested the flat one was the most likely. Thanks for your help.

i put these on my e46 m3 signal blinkers up front... the quality is poor. the amber light is dim, much dimmer than oem which made the car look cheap/modified.

i then found some proper Philips silver outside, but amber blinking lights that are as bright as oem.
