VW Maf's installed

So about a month ago i got a CE light. I drove around and it went away after a day. Car has been running fine with no problems. I did feel the car was slower and possibly needed MAF's. So i ordered some VW Maf's and installed them. Car feels quicker right away. But tonight on the way home i got a CE light again. I was thinking maybe the old MAF's were going bad and the computer had to adjust fuel trim which caused my CE light a month ago. Now that there are good MAF's in there maybe the Trims are off and its recalculating the fuel trims again. Could this be? I will check the CE code tommorow but curious what you guys have done and seen after installing the VW Maf's.

Yes, it is possible. How are your pre-cat O2 sensors?

Oh, forgot to ask... what was the code when you got the CEL the first time.. it may be unrelated to the mafs!

Check the codes. After I changed MAFS I got a fault relating to "Adaptation", so it can be just that.
