Well it looks like i will finally own a beast

after some headaches in Miami, almost bought a car for 34,500 until the test drive revealed a bad clutch and dealer wanted me to pay for half because they were loosing on the sale allready, aint that a *&#$%%.
i found the right one, i hope, in PA. anybody live near Bobby Rahal BMW in
Mc. Murray. i will be picking up on saturday. would anybody be interested in cheking the car out before then, i'll buy you lunch if you go on saturday.
any ways it is a 2001 lemans blue sport black int. wood trim and only 35,xxx miles.
the only gripe i have is the wood trim and all black, i like the blue black, but o well it still in good looking condition. one owner, all service records, etc.

what do you guys think??

Maybe you can find someone from Pittsburgh to help you out, if you were on the other side of the state I would love to help!

Cantresjr,

Congrats on getting an M5!

Under "Some useful threads" in my signature, there is a link to a thread about things to check when buying a used M5.

You obviously know your way around cars since you spotted the bad clutch on the first one.

David

You can change out the seat inserts and the wood trim, with the latter being DIY if you want. Wood trim relatively cheap if you can find it on ebay, or maybe swap with someone here who wants wood (two colors, light and dark, I think Bruyere and Burlwood).
Congrats!
Regards,
Jerry

Congrats on the new purchase Every time you get behind the wheel of your new M5 you will be reminded of why you bought it. The feeling never goes away (at least not for me).

I still look at mine and say...what a great looking machine.

Enjoy
