Radio Display on Nav screen question

I just picked up my M5 a week ago and have a a question for the experts regarding the radio display on the nav screen. When in split screen mode I can only see 10 characters of the RDS information at a time yet there appears to be a lot more room for additional characters to be displayed. Is this just a default limit of the system and if so does anyone know a way to tweak the system to display more characters or to use a smaller font size to get more characters in the defined space?

Thanks in advance for any help.

My beast is carbon black with all black interior. I am actually in Fairview so really close to McKinney. I put Dallas because I figured more people knew where that was vs. Fairview. Have you done any modifications to your M5? Glad to hear there are others locally on the forum.

I bought mine with AC shitzner(sp) pedals and a hamann rear spoiler. Other than that it is stock. I think it might have a SSK in there, but I'm not sure.

did you do anything to yours?

If you are in fairview, they have a car meet in mckinney on thursday nights. It starts at 8pm off of eldorado on the south east corner, koals(sp) parking lot.

the RDS should scroll. If there is more text that can be displayed, the text will scroll across the screen.

My RDS text doesn't seem to scroll. I get seem to get 8 or 10 characters of text and anything that would be betond that is truncated. Each new line of data comes through and stays on for a short period of time, but anything on a given line that is in excess of the 8 or 10 characters seems to get cut off. It doesn't show the missing caracters on the next screen.

Mine doesnt scroll, so much as flash the next section of text. Example U2-Sunday,

then the next screen:

Bloody Sund

then the next screen

ay WHTQ 95

then the next screen

.5

and it starts over again
