        UK track day?

I had an excellent few hours at the MoD testing facility at Chobham, Surrey yesterday (4 instructors and 5 of us in our own cars) which was organised by BMW Park Lane. We would be able to do a private session there (c. £400 for the day regardless of numbers) and one of the instructors could be hired to satisfy the formalities (don't know how much£). The course has a fast circuit, a twisty route and a big skid pan (used by Autocar in this week's Sideways Challenge).

        Anyone interested?

Sounds like fun, only 4K on the clock but I'd happily wear out my Dunlops so I can get some Michelins - count me in.

Sounds interesting - but when? Surely the cold winter days are no time to be flying around a track (or are they???)

It was a wet day so tyre wear was minimised - incredible grip in spite of this! I also tried an M5 with Dunlops - not a patch on the Michelins. The nanny light came on a lot more even though speeds were similar.

I need to get rid of my Dunlops too
However I'm going for Yoko AVS Sports when I change.
