Eurothrash 2002 - over 1500 miles, 3 track days and more...
Hi All,
Thought you guys & gals might like to know in advance of publication, of an event I help organise, called Eurothrash.
The idea of Eurothrash is basically to drive (reasonably quickly in some places) across Europe stopping at some remarkable locations, driving through some of Europe’s best scenery. We also stop at three different tracks for a day each (this year Nurburgring, Spa & Magny Cours), and will also be visiting the Mercedes museum and restoration centre as well as the Porsche museum in Stuttgart.
Some of the entries so far include a 450bhp Nissan ZX, a CLK AMG and a turbocharged day glow pink ice cream van!
US residents are welcome as much as anyone, and will be a great chance for you to drive round Europe as well as the track days. If any USA residents are interested, we can arrange group shipping at a discount.
Looks interesting, good route, not too far and good track days, I might just register. Will need to stop to get a new set of tyres on route I reckon
Looks like you need an M5 along to set the pace, do you anticipate any super fast vehicles joining in - what will you be driving ? No offence but if there are too many 'Max Power' types it won't be my scene.
Good luck and have fun - don't do as the white Ferrari in the Gumball
Well so far on the first 6 hours of registration we've got, without giving too much detail away, 3 BMW M cars, 2 AMG cars, and a couple of high power Nissans, together with 'regular' Mercedes and BMW's.
There will also be cars from the various car magazines, who are likely to cover the event in their respective mags.
My car (dare I say!) will be an AMG.
If you join us, it will make the total 3 M5's from today alone.
We haven’t had any 'max power' types of entrants, and to be honest we're not really advertising to those types of car, the price tends to sway those away anyway.
Great! It would be good to see the 8 series joining us too. If you would like to round up some support from your forum/area that would be super.
The event is scheduled for the end of the second quarter 2002, most probably June.
The track days are not compulsory(!) Nürburgring will probably be good for most as you can decide how many laps you would want to do, and it's quite a good track to run on.

We will be coming through Dijon!
Regards, Matt.
I've already driven on the track (The one of Dijon-Prenois) and i would say that this car wasn't made for that...and 3 track days whould be too much for me
But i'm currently posting some mails to my members to see if they could come...

If I am not mistaken, the white Ferrari you are talking about was crashed in east of my country - Latvia? Is it so?
Peronally did not observe him, but heard stories!
