Dinan performance: Worth it's weight in Gold?

I've been looking at the prices for Dinan lately and they are extremely expensive. So the question I pose to the board is: Dinan being so popular, is it worth to spend that kind of money for that type of performance? Also can Dinan steps be done separately instead of Signiture packages?

Yes, the Dinan steps can be done separately. As to whether they are worth it, please do a search because that topic has been debated at length with staunch advocates on both sides of the argument.

I suggest you can call them and ask. They have been in business for a long time and no 1 in the USA out of several reasons.

I called them, but I guess you're right about #1 because they have been so busy no one was able to return my call. Thanks for the tip though because if I can do it separately it really eases my mind. Those signature packages are CRAZY!

When I saw this thread, my first reaction:

Dinan engineering is first rate, and their profit margins fat. This has had a considerable polarizing effect on the board. Dinan does not help matters by providing uneven, lackluster customer service. When you pay top dollar, you expect top service.

Despite the knocks, the company shines in innovation, and has provided well-engineered performance upgrades that have left many people happy (myself included). Just don't be surprised at their extravagant pricing, and don't be surprised when they don't return your calls.

Dave

I agree 100% that they're expensive compared to others but what I can't put a price on is on their engineering research/innovation and product testing they perform on each of the products they sell.

Like their sway bar brackets?

Some stuff is great, some stuff isn't- (the only item that is a bargain is the rear sway bar.) SOme stuff really doesn't need the 'extensive engineering, innovation and testing' that you pay for.

If you have the skills and enjoy the process equivalent performance is available for less.

A

Oh... wow... look... another is Dinan worth the money thread..

I can only hope that the mods will lock this one quickly, before we have 20 more pages of "yes it is" and "no it isn't".

To the OP, run a search. Asking a question like this that has been argued and debated to death is really a crappy way of starting out on any board.
