Sterling Grey/Gray (BMW has published both spellings)

The color is brand new. It was first seen on the 2001 Z3 last spring. My '02 Sterling is on the dock waiting to be loaded on the boat at Bremmerhaven. FYI, M5 production is a week ahead of schedule.

Sterling is an available color on all 5 series cars. It is not exclusive to the M5. My M5 was scheduled to be built this week ending 9/21, but it was finished last last week on the 13th.

Your dealer can give you current up to the day information on your car's status. The Owner's Circle only gives you broad categories, whereby the dealer gets full info on each stage of the production and shipping process. Your dealer has access to this on the DCS2000 computer and via a daily printout on the status of all of their ordered cars. If you have a good salesman, it would take him one-minute to check it and call you. All you need is the status code number and I'll help you decipher that if he can't.

MJ
'02 Sterling (Status 193 at port of exit, should be 195 now, shipped from port, since a few ships left Bremmerhaven today)
