I always use Loctite medium for the chain guide bolts.
They have the tendency to come loose even tightened with the correct torque.
The nut of the cam oil guides falls right from the head through the oil return bores in the block into the oil pan,so usually no damage can occure from that.

Do you have more pics of the chain guides?
Loctite Blue is what I suggested and will suggest again tomorrow. The nuts that hold the Impulse Sending Wheel in place is also a place where I suggested Loctite to be used as I have had them back out before in a previous fiasco.I assumed that since the bolt and nut seemed un-mangled that they just dropped and sat in the bottom of the pan, thank the car gods for that small favor.
No more pictures as of yet.I am going to ask them to shoot a few for me Monday.
Also Loctite medium for the bolts that hold the cam sprockets is a must!
Also get part number 07 58 9 062 376 it is Drei Bond 1209 liquid sealant.
Best liquid sealant stuff out there,IMO..
I use it for all gaskets of the timing covers, oil pan gaskets, water pump gaskets,.......
Question is,did the chain guide break because the bolt backed out,or did the bolt back out because the guide broke?
This is why I was asking for more pics...
That is a good point.I do know that all was brand new when the motor was put together by VAC.Timing chain, guide,Timing chain tensioner, cam chains,Cam timing chain tensioner ETC...
I appreciate your help....
At least some of the parts to put it back together are there as well.We are not using the Victor Reinz head gasket set...
I go to Wilmington on Monday to visit my cousin, drop off some Sarouk carpets to be cleaned and then go see the mess and give them a check for what they have done already.Oh yeah and as well give them the GoodRidge oil line that contains the accusump " T ".
Damn if we did not have a Snow-Ice storm which kept me from going to Wilmington to see the car and my Cousin.Snow-Ice already gone.
Well today I asked Dan to snap a few pictures of the Sleeve job that was done on my car and he said he would like to ,but the motor is back together. This is much to my surprise. It seems that Tim went in Saturday and took advantage of the snow-ice storm and worked yesterday to get the motor back together.
Progress made and he did use Medium Loctite on all interior motor bolts.
So most likely in a couple of weeks the car will be all the way together and run through the first heat cycle and then recheck the head bolts with the torque wrench. Then the valve covers go back on and I go write him a check and pick up the car...
Crossing fingers that this is the last time you have to have engine opened up...
The motor while in my possession will not have any necessity to be dealt with as a problem.Tim is a Smart , HONEST person who knows his M62TU motors. He is not some Forced Induction shop , but instead a shop that has grown to be a well respected business in Wilmington ,N.C. He went way out of his way to help me out in this less than desirable situation.I am fully confident that the motor will be 100% and I will definitely put it to the test before heading to Florida with the car.
I will put up videos , not guaranteeing the quality , when I get the car running....
