It most assuredly is wacked out! I had the same experience with the S3 - has something to do with removal of the MAFs. There may be a way to fix it, but there are many, many other priorities before spending time to tackle this.
Oh yeah, fuel mileage is the least of my concerns at this point and actually it never really came into the thought process once I lost my mind and started having the engine sleeved, CP pistons , Arrow H-rods ,Alpina forged crank , etc., etc. I can smell the fuel at idle , so I am sure there is a really good flow of fuel to keep the engine happy when I finally put my foot into the throttle when that actually happens..... I just downloaded all the PLX info from their web site so at least now I can have an understanding of the where and how the PLX sensors work and should be placed. I also have noticed a little smell of fuel after the car has sat overnight in the garage when I open the garage door first thing. My friend in Connecticut who kept my car at his house , before Intercity picked the car up for it's trip to Mr.X and Karl , mentioned the same thing to me and I think I have tracked that down to the fuel rails. I have the aquamist info on the way , I need to bleed the clutch out as it is really close to the floor and I think there is air in the system.I am going to follw the " One Day At A Time " theory and take my time.Unfortunately today I have to go to a damn funeral as one of my close friends , as well as being my accountant for the past 25 years , got ill last week and ended up in the hospital a week ago this last Friday and damn if he did not end up having an anabolism in his brain and died. This is after he survived a quintuple by pass surgery two years ago.You never F##$%%% know , when it is your time it is your time I guess.....

I went to the Doctor today and I am clear of the Virus. My LDL has improved from 125 to 95 total cholesterol 175 , my glucose levels went from 103 to 90 , my Blood pressure today was 99/69 rather than the 145/110 before I started the Chemo. AND my car is in it's own garage ( IT STARTS UP EVEN ) and I am sending all the paper work out in the morning to Florida to register my car in North Palm Beach. It took me longer to get all the information together than I thought it would actually... Not a bad day at all...... Remember to drink one for me as I am a boring non- alcoholic beverage consumer from now on , it seems......
hi - been off the boards for 1.5 yrs just about, and when i dropped in i was surprised to hear about your bout with hepa-c. i guess coming in the back end with the 'spoiler' of your good prognosis is awesome. although i dont understand half the technical stuff about your ride, i know enough it is the uber 540 of all time! congrats!!!
but even more important, glad to hear YOU will be around to drive the monster. or as i have said about my dad after his stroke, in a way the fact that is he is still his old self complaining about things is a very GOOD sign. life is not so much short, but rather unpredictable. (a non-alcoholic cheers from another non-alcoholic guy. how about a soy milk toast to your health???)

The mpg figures are off because of the different sized injectors.

Yes I figured that out once my brain started to work again , I still have plenty of brain farts.( I reduced the amount of Zoloft to 12mgs and Xanax to .25 mgs today and I can feel it ) 42 pound Bosch green tops now , 24 pound Bosch OEM original 540i stock. 286 at the crank then now 650 at the crank. I figured out the PLX to a point , I at least saw all the sensors register in the display.Today I found the air / fuel sensors ( I have two ) 14.7 to 15.3 at idle when I put my foot into the throttle down to 12.5, 12.1 ,then back to 14.7 to 15.3 at idle, that is nice to know...........CARSTART.flv video by Dirt11NC - Photobucket
The V1 T-Trim sounds truly menacing. I guarantee you will be getting some stares as you drive that beast around. Cars guys literally stop and stare when that hear that sound....
I found all the controllers for the PLX and the Aquamist behind the drivers side dash....... Richard at Aquamist is helping me figure the mess out, he has been great. The PLX sensors are all working I just did not know how the heck to operate the sysytem. Actually Antony that works at ICS from time to time did a very nice and neat job...... A lot of miles of wires in under that dash.....
Absolutely awesome project, thank you for taking the time to share it all with us in such great detail. Absolutely love the video of the car starting, awesome sound :-)
