Another fact is that when the guy in Australia gets done with his version of an aftercooler and see it's results that will automatically give me back 3 1/2 pounds of boost as the air to air intercooler because of Volumetric physics is inefficient a bit...That is like Dave says I will never be done but , I will never let it out of my sight again either I will fly Mr. X in a lot closer and be there myself. That is a long ways off as I am having fun driving at the moment and re-learning the car.....I just overnighted the paper work to Florida to the Palm Beach County Tax Collector.14- 21 days they say....

( max reccommended on the V-1 T-Trim is 55,000rpm ) I had a larger crank pulley made...that gave the car almost 15 pounds of boost but , you were overspinning the blower by more than the 10% that Vortech said would be safe for that shift range.
David - do you have a handy dandy calculation for blower rpm from crank/SC pulley diameter and rpm? Looks like the 58,362.50 came from a calculator. I'd like to calculate my blower speed. I have forgotten my crank pulley diameter (I need to pester Shadowman for it) and am wondering where I am vs. the Vortech max recommended. I seem to be maxing out the V1 T-Trim, and am considering an upgrade to the V7.

Dave

Hey Dave - if you change the blower, do you need to change any of the programming?

Dave
I may be joining sooner than you think!!

After reading blockdoc's description of acceleration in his ESS (no headers) car, I really can't imagine what yours feels like.

Go for it; if it is worth doing, it is worth doing to excess!!
Regards,
Jerry

Hey, if you and Dave get together, will the combined acceleration affect the rotational axis of the earth???

Keeping the same pulleys, I think I'd just be seeing a little more of what was intended. I don't anticipate any recalibration would be needed. As you know, I'm interested in dumping my MAFs, so a re-tune looks to be on the horizon in any case.

Go to the Vortech website and go to the support area and there is a calculator there for the V-1 blower. You enter diameters of the pulleys and your shift rpm and push a tab and you have the speed of the impeller calculated. The V-7 is a monster 4" outlet , there at least two M62 motors that are going through the process with that blower as well as Carmen's car that D/A built , as the engine evidently crapped out on him ( that is what I heard ) and he took it on the chin and said well lets start over and it is now at ACEperformance being done in spectactular fashion. If Mr. X had not wanted my car at AA it would of been at ACE.....It is a monster blower even louder than the V-1 as it is staright gears as well.....
