I completely empathize with your sentiment. After the ordeal you've been through, just drive your car and put plenty of miles on it breaking it in, all the while learning the nuances & quirks of your beast. It took me several months to shake down the S3 to get it running at its maximum potential.

Yeah the car is safe in my garage , my unfinished new garage that I need to get finished, the car runs very well , I am going to change the title from a North Carolina title to a Florida title and register the car out of a North Palm Beach address as that allows me not to worry about my windows being too dark for North Carolina's liking and if I go any further with the car I will not have too worry about OBD II inspections. This has been in the works so it should happen this month. In the mean time I will get the car straightened out a bit , look over every nook and cranny here for a couple of days on the lift and then put some miles on her.... David
Congratulations on completing an incredible project. I agree with the sentiments that have been expressed--take some time and enjoy the car. Would really love a chance to see it some time. I keep my Beast in Richmond and so am regularly in your neck of the woods.

I have to learn to drive it again as it is a much different ride than my seat of your butt 911. I just took it out , switched tags from my other car for the country run and it is rather peppy. And as RAY stated there will be things, I already have noticed two, that will need to be looked over to optimize the car over time. I just checked out the insurance in North Palm Beach and it is tolerable if that is the way I decide to go.I will decide which way to go Monday or Tuesday or Wednesday or when ever....North Carolina Inspection is a pain in the butt, not like California but , still a pain in the butt.No sniffer but , OBD II plug in...
There's the understatement of the year. Did you do a pull or two??
Dave
I really did not go over 5K rpm as I immediately saw that the aquamist system was not operating properly after I filled the reservoir tank with the "Boost Juice " from Snow performance. There was and is a leak at the pump in the trunk ( I am glad it is a 50-50 mixture of Meth to distilled H20 ) I emailed Richard from Aquamist and as I knew already the pumps are not set up to handle the VP racing meth that ICS was pumping through it and I am sure it melted the seals.( I thought that had already been taken care of but , I guess not ) I can fix that kind of crap. So I took care not to take any chances. I am not letting this car out of my sight. So I am going to jump into the trunk pull the pump out and of course the installer ( ICS ) left no extra wire nor any extra tubing length so I am going to have to cut and add wiring and tubing, no big deal actually just another thing.... I did talk or actually emailed Ruben and he agreed that most likely the car in it's present state will not pass the OBD II plug in readiness code inspection and when he is back in the USA he will take care of that in the ECU for me.In the Meantime I am going to register the car in North Palm Beach and get the title transfered this week and I already have checked the insurance with my agent so that is ready when the time comes. No inspection of cars in Florida. I am not going to sweat the little **** anymore and just deal with it and respond to the situation myself. I am going to do like Ray suggested take my time and go through the car and figure it all out for my own edification.I think if I am not mistaken the car is putting 550whp down before they had to take the engine apart once again. Which of course is no where near Josh's or your Beasts but , for now it will do..... I am asking for some files from AA about the dyno pulls and not really for the horsepower but , to see how the Air/Fuel ratios were responding.I have to learn how to use my PLX system. So hopefully by the end of the day I will be able to sneak the car out and try some runs to 7K and see how it feels....

Getting the S3 to pass NYS OBD II inspection was an ordeal. So if you can dodge that bullet buy titling your beast in North Palm Beach, by all means go for it. FWIW, I'll send you a PM with details on how I passed OBD II. Hopefully you'll never have to do it. Have fun driving your beast!

Thanks Ray.I am going to get a lawyer in Miami to figure out what I need to do to get it registered in Florida at the house in North Palm Beach.BUT , information is always useful, I look forward to seeing your PM. I am out the door to pull the pump as I had a big Magnolia tee fall down onto my driveway last night so I got to throw a chain saw around for an hour.I had my exercise for the day....... Take Care David Chanter

I can confirm that Florida (and Palm Beach County) got rid of its short lived emissions testing program a few years ago. To register the car in Palm Beach, you will need proof of insurance. If North Carolina title, you may need a notary to verify the mileage. That should be about it.
