wow...glad you are doing better and that your project is finally going somewhere ..... ive never been an AA client but living in miami for several years and talking to several enthusiasts that had dealt with them in the past I never got a negative comment about them... always, always good stuff.... and they are trully a ONE STOP shop when it comes to BMW performance...

What a great report on your health! I am very happy for you. The strength will come back, just be aware of how much energy you are using and don't over do it. Good to hear the car is in good hands as well. Keep us updated on both please.

Thanks a bunch for the support

I really do appreciate all the support I have received from everyone here at the M5 Board, during this long and somewhat aggravating transformation of my car.I especially want to thank those who have contacted me not about my car but , about my health situation which caught me totally by surprise.(Kind of like what happened to my holdings in the stock market the last two years ) The car is being put back together in the next week and barring anymore sidesteps hidden from the PREVIOUS SHOP the car will be running here soon. I had a lengthy conversation last night with Mr. X and he was just as he always is polite and to the point. Thanks again to Rickard and Blue Thunder for getting me in touch with Mr.X and Gustav thanks for allowing my non M car to be here on the forum.I am really looking forward to July 11th , my last day of taking the poison... Take Care one and all......

T-Trim: an update you probably would find quite welcome and happy to hear. I happened to visit a friend over the long weekend quite near to the shop that has your Beast now. As I am considering modding the 135i, I figured might as well stop by, pop in and check out what they have in store for me.

From the moment I got out of my friend's S4 Avant, I detected a deep growl I never heard before. As I was walking in the shop, I could only think: "I need to see this car! What the heck is it?" And lo and behold - it was the familiar '540'. The car runs and sounds amazing, the tech took it out for a test ride and I can hear it blocks away. Very vicious and sinister. It seems they are right on the finish line, no codes and runs smoothly, so your baby should be well on its way home!

I was impressed by the shop and some of the project cars they had on display (including a S/C'ed 2008 E90 M3 which was in the latest issue of Roundel Magazine). Fit and finish was OE-like, and soon they will be releasing the kit officially (pushes north of 550hp+ with moderate levels of boost). Their 335i looked very impressive as well, and considering it is using the same hardware/software as my 135, I think Christmas may come early for me this year

So hang on tight for just a little longer, seems this heck of a Beast is about to arrive shortly.

Thanks a bunch for the update. There was a mess to clean up and so I have been definitely just leaving the shop to do their business. Nothing but , kind words for those Florida boys , totally professional . The car is where it needed to be from the beginning. I hope all is well with you. I am seven weeks and counting on the Meds , July 11th last day . I can not wait to feel better ... Take Care I just got a phone call from Florida about your visit.....

Hope you feel better, if the car is a good omen, you are definitely in for some reversal of fortune!

I'll drop these guys a note myself, they are soon to release their further improved Version II of the software, so may get that along with their intercooler (the stock one is a joke), the two together should be good for a +100whp gain (oh the joys of forced induction!)

Keep us informed and stay healthy, the latter is all that matters! Best

The health part of my life has definitely come to the front and center since the discovery of the Virus that I did not even know I had within my body. I am going to spend two months after the end of the treatment just to get back in shape physically and my consumption of mass quantities of beer are a thing of the past. This episode has been a wake up call to me in more ways than one.....Best Wishes.....

I sure think that they have taken care of the car and from what I have been told the car is going to be driven around for awhile to make sure there are no more hidden residual problems from the PREVIOUS SHOP.I only wish I were well enough to fly down to pick up the car myself but , I know better than that and will get Intercity to pick it up and bring the car back to North Carolina. Sure turned out to much more of an ordeal than I expected it to be in all honesty. Some people talk the talk but , can not walk the walk and I found out the truth the hard way.

I received this yesterday, sure is nice to have someone taking care of the car that cares ................

David,
I drove the car home on Tuesday night and it is running well, just
one or 2 small adjustments needed from us.
The A/C does not work so we tried to put in some freon but it has a
leak and we need to look at that.
The clutch is very grabby since it is a metallic type, it will
take a bit of driving to get used to.
The power is really strong across the RPM range when you break 2000
RPM, you can tell the motor has cams in it, it really wakes up after 3000 RPM
The exhaust is not too loud when you drive it easy , but when you
break 3500 with the throttle down on the floor it gets a bit loud.
The best way to describe this car is to say it is a "German muscle
car", the thing hits 100 MPH like nothing, like it is not even trying.

I want to do a special front opening beside the intercooler tanks,
one for the air filter, the other for the oil cooler. My fabricator
in the shop is quite busy, but I plan on doing this for you before
the car leaves.

We will move forward and check into the A/C and the other small
stuff and do some more road testing etc. I will be in touch after that.
