[quote=Frits]My darling will be seven in a few months too. Our relation is rather fresh, only 2 years so far, but I'm sure many more years will come.

Careful you guys you could get arrested if these comments are misunderstood

I passed the seven year mark three months ago, and yes, she still puts a smile on my face. In reading all the car reports on the horsepower wars out there, remember seven years ago when 400 HP was a big deal?

Thx for the complements, guys. I do my best to preserve her looking like new. Maybe this spring I will give her a full spa treatment and schedule an appointment with Erich Lipinski, one of the top detailers in my area.

I have to say that I have been in love with M5s before the E34 was even out, so this one is a keeper. The only other cars that have given me some room for thought have been the RS4, and to a whole lot lesser extent, the E60 M5 6-speed (for the latter I have more than a dozen reasons to dismiss it, starting from looks and ending with continuous DSC-on mode). Plus, I figure for the cost of a new E60 I can have a RS4 AND still get to keep my Beast, so a clear advantage there.

For better or for worse, the prices of our Beasts have taken a hit in the market, to the point that I simply do not find it even worth the consideration to sell her for a chunk of change that won't be material enough to put down towards the purchase of a venerable replacement for the Beast.

PS

Sure thing, Sergio. Would love to come up your way once the weather firms up a bit, and been looking forward to trying that special home-made pasta of yours

The CAI is actually powered by...Home Depot (it is listed after some of the Dinan mods in my siggie, maybe that is what misled you). First ever mod I made, and best $100 ever spent.
