        Those waiting for their cars...

This is in no way to take away from the mourning and tragedies that have happened this week -- but I thought I would share some information for those waiting for their cars.

As far as I know, all ports in the U.S. have been shutdown. What does this mean to you? Nothing is leaving, nor enterting the ports. If you have a car waiting to be shipped, there will be delays. If you have a car currently on a ship, it will be delayed -- I don't know if they are allowing the ships to dock.

This also includes South Carolina vehicles -- the X5 and Z roadsters. These vehicles *also* pass through ports (not sure of which ones at this point), so they will also be delayed.

I was informed of this from my dealer -- our very late model '01 X5 arrived this week, and he said we were VERY lucky -- as everything right now is at a standstill and could be for quite a while.

Things will resume to normal, but those with waiting vehicles should call BMW or your dealer for the latest updates.

        -Chris
