bmwNA and the instrument cluster...

BMWNA just called me up and told me they will cover 100% of the cluster, if I chip in for one hour of labor. Works for me. Thanks to all the people who let us know of the process. The whole thing took about 3 weeks. I sent an email about 3 weeks ago. They emailed me back and said I needed to fax them registration proving that I'm the owner (1.5 weeks ago) and they just called right now to let me know.

My beast is a 2000 and has about 75,000 miles on it. I thought it would cause a problem, but I stated in my first email that a brand built on quality should have electronics that last more than 50,000 miles on their cars, especially when mine started to go out around 40,000 and just got progressively worse. I just need to schedule an appointment at the dealer to get it fixed.

It's definitely worth a try; i wasn't planning on changing it, but I just got bored and that i would give it a shot.

2km5, I think if you have black guages, you will end up with silver. Let us know when its replaced if this is the case. Once I get mine registered in my name I will be getting back to her ASAP. I cant read ANYTHING on my dash. lol

Yeah, I emailed Leonora and another guy helped me out from there.

I actually already have silver guages, so I think everything should stay the same.

I finally had the time to drop off the beast to Southbay BMW for my pixel replacement and I would like to take this opportunity to thank Leonora, Gene, and Ted from BMWNA for the fast response and of course Southbay BMW Lisette Sendejas (Service Manager) if you have problems go to her she's a M5board fan loves fast cars too(you should see her red 2 series) ...Darryl Kwok (my SA) very efficient and always finds the time to call and give me an update on the car...Mark Osoteo (Tech guy/ Wiz kid on cars especially BMW's)...Thank you for making it easier for me

The pixel looks great now i can show pictures of my gage cluster
