Stalling problem

Just wondering if anyone else has experienced a problem with their M5 stalling. When slowing down (braking) for a corner, their is a tendancy for the engine to die. Pretty dangerous as the steering goes, and the brakes work less well.

This happened on my previous 540i and the dealership were unable to locate the problem. If anybody has experienced this and know what it is, I would really appreciate your advice.

Cheers

Tim.

I would say you have a problem - this is NOT normal. Take it back to the dealer.

Yeah, I would get it checked. You said the steering quit, I feel sure you should still be able to steer, it will just be more difficult...

when I was on my recent BMW driving day I met a guy who had the same problem - despite repeated attempts to fix the problem his car got so bad (and left him in a couple of dangerous situations on the motorway) that BMW eventually gave him a brand new car

I can't remember the guys name though (I'm terrible with names)

ciao

Ian
