Experiences with Falken tires?

After reading the search feature I found very little info/guidance on the Falken tires from this board.

From the info that I could find and for my street driving fun, I decided to installed 4 in Dec and then garaged the car for the Cdn winter.

Only paid US745 plus delivery and ship.

Does anyone have experience as to what can I expect this Spring as to noise, handling, wear?
Personally, I am pleased with the purchase.

PS: Would anyone have use for the old Dunlop tires or should I chuck them out?

I used to run falkens on my Evo and Subarus, I found them to be fantastic tyres with long life, little noise and they looked great!

I guess it's a case of suck it and see, personal preference and all that

I'm sure someone will be along soon to tell you, you shouldn't have done it as BMW hasn't stamped them LOL

I have seen that Evosport do use the Falken Tyres on their M60's. That must mean something. What I mean is that it's a high end car and they are selling high end products so I presume they are using only very good tyres.
Glad to have Falken FK452 on my BBS 19" LM's.

I just put a set of 255/30/20 and 285/25/20 on my M5 and at first I was hesitant in general for the no sidewall and also the ride but to my surprise the ride was great and it made me happier with the setup I have now. I ran a 245/35/20 and 285/30/20 Toyo T1R's and they were too tall for the M5 setup. The diameter of the tires were an 1" taller than stock. I had less than 600 miles on the Toyo's. My mistake not checking out the diameter before I bought them.

Anyways i purchased the 452's from Falken and I have to say they are very impressive. I had a set of 451's for about 250 miles and I hated them. They took them back and that was the last of Falkens for over 4 years. I read a lot about the 452's and I am very happy with them. I don't have enough miles on them to test its limits. I need to run about 800 miles or so before I think they will start to give me the best grip. So far I am very pleased with them.

Good luck on your decision.

I am running 452's on my stock wheels F245/40 and R285/35. So far so good, no problems at all.

Kumho makes the Ecsta line.

Falken makes the Azenis line.

The best tire for the money across the entire market is made by them...Azenis RT-615.
