I know of some dealerships that are able to get them, but i have yet to hear of them being a throw-in. I think the reason for that is is because the entire headlight assemblies have to be changed. But good luck, I hope you get them! And congrats!

Take a calendar and follow along:

I assume that BMW counts the weeks starting with Monday. January started with a monday, so 1 January is actually week #1. Then, just count each Monday, and you should see (if I did this right) 8 October.

My car is week #38. Somebody else has a September build here, in week #39.

I understand that you will see the car in the middle of November, then?

Just make sure they fix the auxilary fan first before you drive the beast home and park it in your garage.

kgk,

I am scheduled for production on week #39 and I am still "on order" status, you are week #39. Is your status still on order as well? When did your dealer tell you she would arrive? I was told late Oct. - mid Nov. You?

RM5,

The dealership will install them as an aftermarket part for you, but it cannot be requested as a factory option... Probably has something to do with regulations... BMW service charges an arm and a leg. You can do it yourself pretty easily..

I talked to life-quality before when I bought a 540 4 years ago.. good dealership

This past week was production week 36. Come Monday, it will be production week 37. If at anytime you need to know what week this is, goto www.BMWNation.com and it's on the top right hand corner (after you enter the site).

Harry, I too have a week 39 production, (GermanSedanfan has a week 39 as well!!). And yes, it is still shown as status "on order". If they can pack our cars on a ship within days after production, the Atlantic crossing is only 10 days. I am hoping for a 3rd week of October delivery, otherwise i won't be able to pick my car up until November 8 at the earliest.

Hey Adrian!! we don't have to worry about our cars catch on fire, as they are 2002 Model!! :p heheh j/k

I'm week #38, just before you and beewang! My status is "scheduled for production" (from the web site).

My dealer said it would be about three weeks to get to him (in MA), and then the car has to go to California, which should be another week....
