Hi guys

i was wondering anyone know how 2 remove the front for E39 .....plzz

Lots of smaller screws in the two wheel wells, but two big torques in the front lip. I did it once with the car on its wheels and once on a bridge. Obviously on a bridge it is very easy. I guess 20 minutes orso. On the ground you will have trouble re-assembling some screws that go in the bottom plate.
If you don't have the torque to fit the two front lip torques, don't even bother because you can't do it.

The 2 main front bolts are TORX bits. Then a bunch of standard metric head screws underneath the front bumper on either side as parto f the wheel well covers.

I found it easier to remove the wheel well liners all together. If you do that, you'll have a few screws inside the front tire well to undo to get the lower half of the liner out.

Also a few tiwst lock screws you'll use a phillips head screw driver on.

Once all that is undone, it just pulls off. I've removed it and put in on 2x with the car on the ground. Not difficult at all.

TIS has a good article on removing the bumper, but it is as everyone says .. pretty simple with the right torx bits... much easier than some cars I have had before.. I was quite suprised

torx bits can be had at any tool shop, i bought a set from my local Sears.

Also, as you're sliding off the bumper cover, you need to disconnect the hose to the headlamp washers. After youve done it a couple of times, it's an easy 10 minute project to get the bumper off. I would bet you can find pics at bmwtips.com, as i think someone did a write up for a dinan cai install.

I got mine from the local hardware shop... Its a T60 or something.. I dont remove the entire innet wheel cover, just remove the outter 8mm bolts from inside of it... then it just slides off.. remember to disconnect your headlight cleaning if you have it
