New to the club.

First let me say thanks to everyone for all the great info. I recently purchased a totally stock 2000 M5 from the second owner for 30k. He had it for 2 years and only put 5000 miles on it !! After test driving I could not understand why. This is my second Bimmer, and after graduating from a 323 all I can say is WOW ! The car only has 45000 miles on it, and got compliments from everyone at the dealer , when I took it in for minor programming issues.

Reading the threads about carbon build up have me a little concerned, as the previous owner babied the car. I searched to see if anyone is running Ventil Sauber or Jectron and did not find any specific refrences. I used to run these in my 3 series with pretty good results, is anyone currently using either of these products?

Pictures attached from after a recent driveway detail session.

Welcome to the club.. Nice car.. The carbon issue dosen't get solved by additives to fuel .. It must get taken apart and cleaned out or get PC to do it's magic on it ..

Congrat's on a beautiful car! The black on caramel looks awesome. I have used Lubro Moly in past for peace of mind on many of my cars including BMW's. I have not yet tried on the M5 since I just bought mine but will probably use some at some point.

Hey mate, nice car, we use a product called Fuel Doctor in Australia, I don't know if it is avaliable in other countries, it is a great additive for lower octane or ethanol added fuels but won't remove the carbon buildup from anything but injectors.
