Cone induction kits

Can anyone give me a rough estimate of the power increase you'd expect to get from fitting an induction kit? I have a green induction kit fitted to mine: http://www.greenfilters.com/

I'm guessing it won't be much extra bhp?

Bad guess.

You are likely LOOSING bhp due to the warm air you are sucking into the engine compared to a stock intake.

There is disagreement as to how much HP you can gain by just eliminating the stock filter (ie this is a 'perfect' filter with no resistance) AND KEEPING THE FACTORY 'COLD AIR' intake. Estimates are 0 to 15HP possible with NO FILTER.

However, it is foolish to believe that one can buy a filter that has zero resistance to flow yet is a good filter. As you reduce the filtration efficiency away from stock you may gain a few HP....

due to heatsoak i would say that you'll rader loose power than gain.the only thing that you hear is a more sporty sound thats all .especially with these green setup i would think. they are in the enginebay and there isent even a heatschield who protects it a little bit.so i wont put my money on extra hp's

sorry

Also, most cone filters use oil/gauze filters, and the oil can contaminate the MAFS and rob power. Replacing the stock filter with one of these oil/gauze filters can have the same effect.

"Is it the sounds that make a BMW a BMW? A BMW is designed to be heard, felt, experienced. So our engines sing. Our steering talks back. And we insist on offering manual transmissions in nearly all our models for drivers who crave them. The result is an almost telepathic oneness with the car. Just as surely as you can hear a BMW, a BMW hears you."

Do not oil filters, it will contaminate the MAFS
