Feedback on Supersprint Headers + Tubi exhaust combo?

First of all, yes I did a search and didnt come up with anything solid on this subject so here's my post.

I currently have the Tubi Rumore Plus installed on my beast. I am now thinking of possibly installing Supersprint Headers to get more horses. (I also have the Dinan CAI kit & Powerchip 93.)

I am however concerned that my exhaust system may get too loud if I install the Supersprint headers. Right now, with just with the Tubi Rumore Plus version - the sound is perfect for me. Not too loud, not too soft.

Dinan headers is not in the running due to my own personal experience with their poor customer service, and after everything I read here about other member's experiences on their recent rebate program.

So if you have the Supersprint headers + Tubi exhaust combo - can you provide me some input please?

Is it too loud for you? (I know this is subjective but kindly give me your input anyway).

How much horses do I expect to gain if I install the headers?

Is this a worthy upgrade in your opinion?

How is the build quality of the Supersprint headers?

How much do I expect to pay for a typical installation?

Any input you can provide will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

OK, You bought Tubi Rumore and now think something might be too loud? :3:

1) Typically 15+rwhp would not be out of the question
2) Yes, very worth it, and would do it again. Most likel before other mods in the future.
3) Matter of opinion. I think the quality if great, Dinan guys and installers may agrue? However for less than 1/2 the price it is a difficult arguement on either side, and really want it will come down to, is how good your guy will install them.
4) Installation will run $1,000 to $1,500. I had mine installed by a Dinan guy, I like what he did, welded everything, no clamps, cost a little more, but happy with it. Budget 5k for everything and you should be fine.

Now I have regular Tubi's and SS Headers. It did make it a little louder, when I accerlate on the freeway now I can hear my exhaust a lot better, especially at WOT or if I downshift. If it is too loud, sell the Tubi's Rumore and get Regulars.

You may get to hear some of these after our Vegas weekend coming up.

Let me know if you have any questions.

Wow, quick reply. Thanks Gavin!

That's the reason I went with the Rumore Plus. I heard the Tubi Regular, and the Tubi Rumore and I thought they were both still pretty tame. I wanted a more commanding growl so I went with Rumore Plus version.

Exhaust sound right now is perfect for me. I love the Tubis. But I currently have the upgrade itch and I thought headers is a good candidate for next affordable performance mod since I dont have $70K sitting around for a supercharger.

We'll see what other feedback I get.

Thanks again for your input.

If you really want my opinion, and keep inmind either Mod would have been done, but at my current stage, I might have flip flop headers for stage 3 with JRZ's knowing that when I go to the track, the car is plenty fast.

Now for daily hunting, its nice to have more power for all the guys that want a little abuse on the road. :viking2:

It is not too loud for me at all. If you are comfy with the Rumore Plus then
the additional noise from the headers will most likely not bother you.

20-30 crank.

Yes.

I got them used and had them coated at Jethot. They looked
fine but the installers had some problems fitting them. Nothing
serious.

I think this is a 6-7 hour job if everything works out.

Mr. Blue Thunder, thanks for chiming in. Your video clip is actually the one that sold me on getting the Tubis.

I watched your video about 5 months ago and after watching it - I said "That's it! That's the exhaust tone that I want!" So I got the Tubis and now extremely happy. Thank you for taking & sharing your video. It was an easy decision for me after watching your video.

Thanks also for providing a link to your car domain website. Awesome car you have and cool photos!

Many thanks again for your inputs.

The jet hot coating is used to lower the heat transfer in the engine compartment from the headers and keeps the engine bay cooler...a description of the process and intended benefits is more fully explained on Beastpower's site when you pull up the SS headers.
