Longer trips? The pod would probably come in handy once a week.

If it doesn't fit in the passenger seat, I'm not taking it...

And if I have a passenger, then it's most likely not coming.

Thank god I have a daily driver Jeep. The problem is that the handling on the Jeep feels horrendous now, in comparison, after driving the GT 1,400 miles in the first month.

-I still think a retro-style chrome tube luggage rack (or old style, but aluminum tube) would look cool on the back of a GT. And then it would be a snap to mount a pod, or you could even have custom luggage made.

It would have to take some serious heat, to be right above the clamshell vents.

I won't be making this into a road trip vehicle, at least, probably not for any trips more than a week, or more than 5,000 miles in one shot.
