Pad recommendations for Stoptech BBK

Hi Guys,

I already have a set of slotted rotors that the previous owner sold me and I want to pick up some pads so there ready to go when I need them. I have the ST40 Stoptech BBK (355mm) front brake kit and I'm wondering what pad everyone would recommend. Since I don't track or autocross the car I really don't need anything to exotic. I'm leaning towards a low dust but good performing pad.

The previous owner had Axis Ults on there but reading on the website it looks like the Axis Deluxe would be more applicable to the type of driving I do. I'm also wondering if anyone is using Hawk HPS on this type of set up as I used these on my E36 M3 and liked them.

Thanks in advance,

Jon

Talk to Dave Zeckhausen - he's on this board. I think he'll recommend the Axxis pads or possibly a newer compound from Centric Parts (they just bought StopTech). I use the Axxis street pads and they are pretty good. Not as much initial bite as an OEM dusty-as-heck pad, but good dust control and pretty linear modulation.
