Survey - X-pipe owners and SES

Spent a significant amount of time searching this subject and only had found several members complaining about the SES light AFTER installing the X-pipe. I gotta believe that there's a bunch of us with the X-pipe that haven't experienced the SES phenomenon. I'm about to get mine installed and would hate to have to deal with this. So far I know XRAyMD, EM 5, TiSiBeast and Mottati(?) have run into this...anyone else? Or is this a really rare occurrence and something I shouldn't be too concerned about? Any input appreciated.
Randy

Check the faults first. If you get catalytic efficiency faults then it's most likely an exhaust leak from the connecting points of the X pipe.

You could eliminate the problem with software from D/A or Powerchips.

My tech says the SES is unrelated to the x pipe. So, we will see next week. I also had the AFE filters installed at same time and am asking the tech to check the MAF sensors.

i never had an ses light with the x pipe, at least not consistantly. I had a couple of 'cat efficiency' codes here and there, possibly related. I ran the x pipe for a couple of years with no real issues.

The x pipe will speed up the flow of exhaust gasses thru the cats, so if the cats are marginal, you may get a cat efficiency code. As jon above mentioned there is software to reduce the sensitivity of the post cat o2 sensors which eliminates this issue if it were to come up.
