I have an 01 BMW M5 and it has the stock bmw navi cd. I have seen some people who have almost like a plane's view of the streets. Is there a way i can make my navigation do this? Any new view updates and how would you do them?
You can't get those cool perspective views unless you have the Mark IV DVD-based Nav system, and then you need the latest operating system software. The '01s came with Mark III CD-based units.

I got my Mark IV from eBay as well for $600.00. So search eBay. Then once you get a Mark IV you will need one of the latest software updates.
You can do a search here and find members that modified latest software that not only has the "perspective view" but also successfully removed the WARNING message during initial boot up and replaced it with a photo of an M5 on a bank turn.
