Blinker bulb..driving me crazy

My right front blinker went out.. so I thought. I pulled the bulb out and it looked fine. I pluged it back in and it worked for a few days. It went out again, I checked the bulb..it looked good. I pluged it back in, it worked for a couple of days then out again. I am getting irritated, what should I do?
thanks for the help!

I have had the same problem on my left blinker; every 6 months or so the bulb seems to burn out. Simply taking it out and reinstalling fixes it temporarily.

I've found that lightly cleaning the contacts on the bulb with med grit sandpaper helps a bit. I cleaned it with a rag soaked in a bit of carb cleaner (gumout). I also used electrical grease on the contacts, but don't think that made a difference.

Change the bulb socket, the early ones tended to corrode. That should solve the problem.
Regards,
Jerry

When your bulb goes out intermittently does the turn signal then blink fast?

I had this same problem occur for the first time about one month ago and I too thought I fixed the problem by removing the bulb and tightening the connection.

I have the exact same problem with my left front blinker. It just quit working again today. If I wiggle it, it works for about two weeks. I have large hands, and I've had trouble trying to pull the bulb. Is there an easy way?

Mine blinks fast when it quits working.

I have the same issue, my meat hooks make it hard for me to get the bulb/socket back in and out. I used an open ended wrench to twist the socket on and off.

You need blinker fluid.

Make sure you buy Euro spec blubs. I know that if you put regular blubs (12v) they will work but have problems. BMW's use 21v blubs so make sure you buy the correct set.
