Xenon light temp

Hello all,

Question.... I was driving past an E60 530i Sport the other day and I was comparing the light coming from its Xenons to my M5 and thought they were distinctly different.

I thought our E39's were 4500k? The E60 ones that I saw (and the E65 for that matter) look more like 6000k.

I have a set of 6000k Xenon foglights (Xtec kit bought from boardmember) and I was thinking of changing the main set to match the 6000k foglights.

Sooooo.

1) Does anyone know the temp of the E60/E65 D2S Xenons?

2) Does anyone have photos of an E39 with the 6000k globes?

TIA

Cheers,
Aaron

As far as I know, the latest oem xenon-bulbs have 4500k (maybe only in europe).

I changed the oem of my 02beast (4500k or 6000k) against 8000k bulbs -
now it´s a very beautiful cold looking color, but if the streets are wet, you hardly see if your light is on.

Of course, I made a compare-pic between oem bulb and 8000k bulb but the pic is on my private pc, I´m able to post it in the evening (Europe time!).
